From Garage to Global

We didn’t start in a boardroom.
We started in a garage, like many great stories do.

Just a few of us, chasing down leads, knocking on doors, and building boxes and crates by hand. Art Mahassel founded the company in 1988 with little more than grit, a pickup truck, and a promise to always do what it takes. Back then, our handshake was our contract. And honestly? It still is.

We earned every customer through hustle, not hype. Showing up early. Staying late. Solving problems others couldn’t, or wouldn’t. That mindset turned a startup into something much bigger.

In 2018, that entrepreneurial spirit took its next big step forward when AGlobal formed a joint venture with Rand-Whitney Packaging, a fellow industry leader and part of The Kraft Group. That partnership became Unified Global Packaging Group.

Today, we’re a global packaging company with over 1,200 employees and a footprint that spans from the forest floor to the loading dock.

We grow the trees. We make the pulp. We build the boxes. And we deliver them, with care, consistency, and a phone call if anything ever goes sideways.

We’re proud to work with some of the world’s most trusted brands. But no matter how big we get, we’ll always be a company that leads with integrity, making smart packaging that protects your products, your brand, and the planet.

Partnership means standing behind our word and showing up when it matters.
It’s built on hard work, trust, and doing exactly what we said we’d do, every time.
